I’m so excited to share an update from a recent paper mache workshop! Last Thursday, the fourth of July, I hosted 14 participants aged 20 to 34 who were eager to learn the art of sculpting with paper and glue. In this workshop, I tried to emphasize creativity along with good times and fun. Participants created their own puppets or imaginary creatures, resulting in fourteen unique and imaginative sculptures. The process involved layering strips of paper covered with glue over the templates, and I provided guidance and supervision throughout to help them come up with their visions. Diversity in backgrounds and ages added a rich dynamic to the creative process.

Papier-mâché is a versatile art form that involves strips of paper and glue that allows for strong and expressive sculptures. With years of experience in various art disciplines, including papier mache, I enjoy teaching and sharing this revolutionary technique with others.

Feel free to get in touch if you would like to join or learn more about Papier Mache.

“Unsuspecting Death Domicile” is the title of Niloufar Ataei Far’s first solo illustration exhibition. In this exhibition, she explores the deaths of Iraj and Siavash through visual essays. Although the hero sometimes leaves the story through death, their death continues to walk within the narrative, turning the pages of the book, changing its course. The hero does not disappear; instead, they transform through death, subjugating everything through this metamorphosis. The hero does not die but merely transitions from one form of death to another.

On July 1st, 2022, The illustration exhibition “Good stories for good children” commemorates the 100th birthday of Mehdi Azarizdi’s inauguration held, and the jury at the end of an opening ceremony announced the winners.

“During the summer, I used to stay at my grandmother’s house and many times after we’d done shopping, we always went to AmirKabir bookstore on Khaje Nasir St. where she used to buy me a new book from “Good stories for Good Children” book series, said Bouzari.

Then, after presenting a brief report on how the event was organized and how the works were being selected, the three main winners were introduced including Niloofar Ataeifar, Arvin Fouladifar, and Pedram Kazroni for illustrating the stories of the book series “Good Stories for Good Children”.
